Mainnet - wstETH / WETH - currently at 12.62%.
Mainnet - OHM / DAI - currently at 11.48%.
Mainnet - AuraBAL Stable Pool - currently at 10.46%.
You can find an overview of the current LM incentives on the Balancer Mainnet below:
BAL underwent its first ever emissions drop.
Originally introduced through a governance proposal in February last year, BAL’s updated and final emissions schedule includes annual emissions drops of 15,9%. This equals to a traditional halving every 4 years, although in BAL’s case the process is gradual.
The total final supply will be slightly over 94M tokens.
You can learn more about the emissions drop and the process behind it through this thread and this article.Philand created 4 Balancer-themed quests: two include swapping (one and five swaps respectively), one covers LPing and the final one walks people through gauge voting.
The quests are designed in the aesthetic of “Go”, which is a classic strategy game dating back 2500 years. Balancer’s logo served as an inspiration for this campaign as the three layers in the logo look similar to Go stones.Balancer joins other leading protocols such as Socket, Yearn, mStable, Superform and more in The 4626 Alliance: “An ecosystem led initiative to advance the development of the ERC-4626 standard”
The Alliance aims to work on the following:
- Establishing a common bounty board for “4626 essentials.”
- Funding a common vehicle to distribute the costs and outsource through bounties the development of these “4626 essentials.”
- Promoting the ERC-4626 standard through publication and events.
- Creating and maintaining an open-source ERC-4626 resource libraryGleb joined Spool’s Twitter space to dive deep into Balancer’s pool stack, use case examples and the future of Balancer’s L2 deployments. The conversation also focused on DeFi’s composability, decentralization and resilience through its permissionless nature.
Aura explores Balancer’s Composable Stable Pools in their latest thread.
Pools of this type have over $640M in TVL and constitute an important building block of DeFi liquidity.
Composable Stable Pools are tailored to feature assets that are expected to have equal prices or are likely to trade “at a known exchange rate”. This includes both stablecoins and other less obvious use cases such as LSDs like wstETH and stETH.
You can learn more about them in the docs.Balancer’s own Twitter takes a closer look at the ComposableStablePool contract.
Here are the main features:
• Pre-minted BPTs, allowing for join & exits through swaps
• Provides virtual supply for circulating BPTs since pre-minted BPTs inflate total supply
• Allows regular join & exits
• Each token can have a rate provider
Check out the thread for a step by step overview which includes code snippets showcasing the complex beauty of the contract. The latest Ethereum staking update authored by Tim is out!
